Laser eye surgery

Has anyone had this done over here and what was the experience like? Can anyone recommend a good surgery?

I had it done in 2001 and although my eyes weren't that bad it made a huge difference to my everyday life. The procedure is slightly uncomfortable, but not painful and over very quickly. I can really recommend it.

I am a total whimp when it comes to pain, would you say its as bad as a tooth ache in the pain scale?

I have never had tooth ache, but they say it is the same as ear ache which is very painful. Compared to that the laser surgery is a walk in a park. It is not painful more uncomfortable for a day. The more you rest your eyes and use the eye drops afterwards the better.

After the surgery how long would i need to rest for(would I need a day off work, or two days?)
