Americans in Germany: Overseas Voting

US citizens living overseas in Germany are eligible to vote by absentee ballot in the General Presidential Elections.

Assistance is readily available from the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) which has complete information and online registration and absentee ballot request forms for the Federal Post Card Application (OFPCA). A toll free number is provided for citizens outside of the US to call for information.

• Democrats Abroad, a very active organisation, assists American's living outside the US to vote by overseas absentee ballot

• Youth Vote Overseas (YVO), an initiative of the Overseas Vote Foundation, provides online tools and services for young US voters studying or residing overseas
• OVF or Overseas Vote Foundation provides an online tool to generate an emergency ballot (FWAB) and reduced FedEx rates to express the ballot to the US
